CMZ is used in Aquaculture to:

• Reduce the levels of ammonia in the water, which is very important in destressing fish, particluarly at the time of hatching or in transport;
• To colour the water so as it limit visability with the objective to decrease self predation of top predator species, when fish start to attack one another;
• To filter incoming water to reduce particles and particulates; &,
• Exclude fish eggs (especially those of carp in inland waterways), Protozoan parasites, cationic nutrients and salts etc.

Zeolite use in Aquaria & Ponds

Main purpose is for filtration and treatment of water and the removal of ammonia.

The Zeolite granules can also be used as decorative rocks which are also functional in reduction in frequency required for cleaning, decrease in algal growth and to further assist in control of ammonia.
